Brief Description of an Inverter:
The inverter is required to convert the direct current (DC) from the solar (PV) arrays to the alternating current (AC) that our homes require. In our case the PV panels are wired to produce about 400 volts DC. The “Sunny Boy “ inverters will convert that 400 volts DC to 240 volts AC (120 x 2) for the house.
